Starting out at around 4 years old, I've steadily developed what I consider to be a healthy obsession with jewelry. I have fond memories of sneaking into my grandparents' bedroom during bustling family gatherings, going straight for my grandma's beautiful jewelry boxes and stacking on all that I can before I inevitably get caught. Good thing I was cute so no one ever really got mad; instead my grandma would tell me sweet stories about each one of her pieces (many of which were gifts from my grandpa he had picked up from around the world). It's these stories that make me cherish vintage pieces like these beauties in the photo above.

oh hey there beautiful!
seriously in love with these! What makes them such a favourite (aside from the kick-ass colour!) is that genius extra padding at the ball of the foot part! DVF, I thank you from the bottom of my soles ;)

DIY statement bracelet
Not even sure if the 20 seconds this took constitutes a DIY project, but I thought I'd share it as a neat way to mix and remake pieces you might have laying around.
The bracelet was a relatively inexpensive buy a few years back and although I hadn't worn it in about a year, I couldn't part with it quite yet. Reason being, it's proven to be a really easy way to accessorize the simplest of outfits.
The broach I added is a family heirloom. Needless to say I've cherished it from the moment I received it, but haven't been able to wear it as much as I'd like. Attaching it to the bracelet means I get to wear it a lot more often, without sacrificing its actual purpose (so that whoever it's passed on to next get's to decide how they want to wear it ;) thinking way ahead, but it's good to plan, right?!)

almost
dainty orchid pendant (currently on repeat)
I sense an unhealthy obsession with denim shirts coming on... they're just so darn perfect!
Just a random ramble note:
I'm pretty sure March is the month with the most severe commitment issues. Just can't seem to make up its mind and commit to either spring (the right choice!clearly) or winter... so instead we're just stuck waking up to a surprise everyday. These pics were from an almost spring day...today however we woke up to snow.
Make the right decision March, and stick with it!

adorable bright & tiny purse bought in Panama; fits only the necessities, and after months of lugging around big purses and backpacks, I'm so looking forward to wearing this lil number ;)
two dainty gold necklaces from my amazing parents! perfect for layering; plus, every time I wear them I think back to the wonderful jewelry shop, on a quaint street in Panama city's Casco Viejo
just some prettiness around the house!
selfie! Thrifted and re-worked hot pink silk shirt & rhinestone collar necklace; clearly ready for much, much warmer temperatures!
printed taxido pants & silver wedges; just another spring outfit waiting for a chance...

bits
super glad I found these easy-to-wear gold cuffs; they're perfectly simple.
same shopping trip also ended with the purchase of these awesome neon earrings! I've been itching to try out some more extravagant styles and these not only fit the purpose, but were also significantly reduced. I always love trying out trends on the cheap!
miss the wonderfully sunny days, when this was my daily uniform...
some bits of an arm party. just hanging out on a super comfy sweater ;)
a couple of pieces currently on repeat
in love with all of the bf's t-shirts lately! I don't know why but his tend to get so amazingly soft and perfectly worn in, that it just makes me really wanna shrink 'em and take them off his hands...
but i wouldn't.
ok, i have, and will probably keep doing so until he catches me. ;)
Happy Weekend!
