I just need to get this out of my system and then I promise no more bragging about thrifted stuff for the next week! (or maybe like 3 days...we'll see how long I can go for) Silk shirts are just about the greatest item for summer/spring/fall, and even winter (if you layer them that is); they're especially great when bought for under $5. I think thrift shopping is really starting to open my eyes when it comes to what's worth buying new, and what's simply not.
The things is, I recently tried on a nice looking, slightly sheer (think "classy" not "trashy" sheer) at a store in a mall, that was 100% polyester, and cost $40. Immediately I thought of the 20 silk shirts a person could buy for that money, that would fit just as good if not better and feel that much better than the polyester one! So, if you're on the fence about checking out your local thrift store, this grade 1 math will help you decide: 1 (polyester, new shirt)=$40 < 20 silk ones=$40! ;)
p.s.- I should clarify, I'm not trying to endorse anyone to go out and buy 20 silk shirts at once! That's be a little crazy and would pretty much clear out all the awesome silk shirts, so please don't do that!
You look super cute :) I love getting things at thrift stores too and I could rave about it forever!! haha

I can hardly stand to buy anything at a store these days because I know it is either way over priced or I will run into someone else wearing it. Thrifting is the way to go!
