brighter than the sun

We got some fresh snow over the weekend...not terribly fond of it, but I suppose I should be glad it's not negative 28 again. I had to look away for these shots because the sun's reflection in the snow was blinding, and I'd have to squint (which I did but just not directly at the camera...except for that one shot I threw in just to show you what I mean).

In other news, I got to wear my new boots (since it was finally warm enough and not slushy everywhere) and that just got me excited; you can't really tell from these pics but they have a little shine to them...pretty snazzy,right?!
The deal I got them for had me excited for a while too! (oh Winners...I love you so!)

4/30-the many ways to wear a belt

So far I can think of only 3 ways, so the 'many' in the title was a bit of an exaggeration. The black belt you see here I've actually worn with the enclosure at the front; really mixing things up huh?!
I must say that was one good purchase; it was 50% off the sale tag which was 75% off the original or something crazy like that, so I'm pretty sure it came to about $2 (plus tax of course, oh Canada ;)) and I've gotten lots of wear out if it (as I'm sure I'll demonstrate later on in this challenge).
